Energy System Engineer

CENERGY is currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated Energy System Engineer to join the R&D Team in Trieste (Italy). We offer a full-time position.

CENERGY activities

CENERGY is a research-oriented company operating in the area of advanced technologies for energy conversion, energy recovery, and energy storage, with a focus on Fuel Cells, integration of Fuel Cells into custom-specific designs of power systems, and with a focus on storage and transport of CNG and hydrogen. The main activities of CENERGY are:

• design, development and testing of prototypes,
• development of process simulation models to optimize the design,
• development of monitoring systems and simulation models to optimize the operation of fuel cells systems.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will combine the following characteristics:

• Engineering/Science degree (preferably mechanical/energy/electrical/process engineering);
• Minimum 4 years of experience (or equivalent capacity);
• Working knowledge of thermodynamics (better if “inspired” by thermodynamics);
• Fluent in English (working language);
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink and Python (or other numerical computing environments);
• Ability to work in a Team (both internal and external);
• Self-starting, highly motivated and with a keen desire to get things done (and have problem solved);
• Interested in a broad scope of fuel cell engineering (including systems integration and trade-offs, requirements management, hydrogen safety and standards);
• Knowledge of fuel cell technology is an advantage (and experience an additional advantage).
